It’s Fall Y’all!

Fall is my favorite season, it is the start of cooler weather, beautiful foliage and upcoming holidays!  We have some ideas for you and your pet to create fun fall memories.

Halloween Costumes

Who doesn’t love to dress up their pet!  Has your pet dreamed of becoming a ballerina or maybe they want to turn into a pumpkin instead?  I think our pets must be Superheros during the day while we are at work.  Another really cute and fun idea for your pet is this hotdog costume!

If you plan to take your pet trick-or-treating, you can have your pet stand out in style, especially in the dark!  This Pet Life LED Lighting Halloween Dress costume would be great.  It features a small and lightweight innerstiched LED with an on/off switch to control the lights on the backside.  Also, the Pet life LED Lighting Halloween Party Hooded Sweater and Pet Life LED Lighting Halloween Pumpkins Hooded Sweater are not only fun to wear in the dark, they look so cozy!

We hope you have a costume party or Halloween parade so you can dress up your pet!

Treats for your Pet

There are so many great Halloween treats for your pets.  The Fruitables Skinny Minis Pumpkin Spice treats would be so yummy for your dog this fall.   The Einstein Pets Pumpkin Time dog treats are made with real pumpkin, cinnamon and chia.  The Indigenous Dental Health Bones - Carrot and Pumpkin Flavor help clean teeth and fresh breath, plus they are highly digestible with prebiotics and contain NO grain, gluten or GMOs.  For more fall flavors, the Blue Buffalo Health Bars - Baked with Pumpkin and Cinnamon are great natural baked biscuits for dogs and contains no corn, wheat or soy.  If your dog is sensitive to treats, the Wholesome Pride Sweet Potato Chews contains only one ingredient - sweet potato!

For the cats, the Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Pumpkin Jack Splash is tuna in a pumpkin soup, plus this cat food contains NO grains, GMO, MSD or carrageenan.  Did you know cats can have chew treats too?  The N-Bone Cat Chew Treats clean teeth by removing plaque and tartar during chewing. Chewing helps maintain healthy gums!

Fall Fun

There are so many fun things to do during the fall season.  Many pumpkin patches and apple orchards are pet friendly.  You should always call ahead to check your local farm for the rules and policies.  For local readers, feel free to check out the following farms with your pet!  Mackintosh Fruit Farm in Berryville, VA are dog friendly (must be leashed) and even cat friendly if you can get a cat to walk with a leash in a public place!   Dogs are also welcome on a leash at Hollins Farm in Delaplane, VA but they are not allowed in the vegetable gardens.  Great Country Farms in Bluemont, VA allow leashed dogs on the farm and they can even go on the wagon ride, but they are not permitted in the U-pick fields.  Sharp’s at Waterford Farms in Brookville, Maryland has their Annual Dog Days at Sharp Farm on 10/26 and 10/27 - if you dress your pup in a costume, you will receive $1 off any pumpkin!

At Thug Dog Life, we hope you are enjoying the cooler weather and doing many fun activities this fall with your pet!
