The ascorbic acid found in Camu Camu helps stimulate white blood cell production, which significantly boosts the immune system, and is also a key component in collagen production, which helps repair and develop cells, tissues, and organs, which we will discuss further.
How important is this process? Collagen production is the primary building material of bones, ligament, tendons and tissues of your pet's bones. Collagen forms the rods that give actual structure and strength to every bone in your pet's body, which is required to sustain and nourish the health and strength of your pet's skeletal structure over its lifetime. Collagen production can become even more important in cases of arthritis, bone loss and joint diseases, such as Intervertebral Disk Disease and Degenerative Joint Disease. In traditional medical systems, Camu Camu has been studied for its strong antioxidant plant and fruit actions, its natural anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and skin-reparative phytochemical content, which may help slow down aging and help promote tissue regeneration.

While it is generally understood that dogs and cats both create and derive Vitamin C from organ meat they obtain through hunting prey, most domesticated dogs and cats eating a dry kibble diet may not derive proper levels of vitamin c through synthesized minerals added to their diet. The three naturally occurring carotenoids (lutein, astaxanthin, zeaxanthin) may be used holistically as disease fighting antioxidants, but are viewed as especially important for their role in potentially helping to protect eye health for dogs and cats. Lutein helps to support blue light absorption by the eyes and helps to fight against free radicals and cellular oxidative damage; astaxanthin helps to provide nutritional support for eye health which are commonly lacking in modern diets; zeaxanthin is an antioxidant carotenoid found in your pet's retina, which helps supports critical eye tissues, including the lens and macula. It is used by holistic veterinarians in traditional medical systems to help address cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration in dogs and cats.

Although we strive for excellence in everything we do, we realize life happens. If there is any issue, we will always do our best to resolve those to our customer's satisfaction. In case shipping damage occurs, have the box and merchandise inspected by the delivering carrier and notify us immediately. (Please SAVE the container with merchandise). Any order issues & damages must be reported within 48-hours.
Returns must be sent via a reputable shipping company such as UPS, USPS or FedEx and must have a tracking number.
